Ingredients

The gravy

  • 3 tablespoons light butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 ½ cups reduced sodium chicken broth
  • ¾ teaspoon Better Than Bouillon Chicken or Turkey base
  • ½ teaspoon Gravy Master seasoning or Kitchen Bouquet

The sandwich

  • 1 pound sliced deli turkey breast
  • 4 slices soft wheat bread

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the flour gradually and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the broth slowly while whisking until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the bouillon paste and Gravy Master, whisking until the gravy thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and let the gravy sit for 5 minutes.
  6. Warm the turkey slices in the microwave for 30-60 seconds.
  7. Assemble the sandwich by placing a slice of bread on a plate, topping it with 4 ounces of turkey, and pouring 1/3 cup of gravy over it.
