Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups turkey drippings (fat separated out)
  • cups chicken or turkey broth
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the flour and whisk to combine, cooking for 1 minute while stirring constantly.
  3. Slowly pour in the turkey drippings and broth, whisking constantly.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Pour the gravy into a pitcher or gravy boat, top with parsley, and serve.
