Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

The glaze

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • juice from 1 lime lime

The chicken

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • for garnish green onions
  • for garnish sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Make the glaze by whisking together soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, sesame oil, Sriracha, garlic, and lime juice in a bowl.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  3. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  4. In a large oven-safe pan, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on one side, about 4 minutes.
  6. Flip the chicken and cook until the second side is golden brown, about 4 minutes more.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the chicken and transfer the pan to the oven.
  8. Bake the chicken until it reaches 160°F, about 25 minutes.
  9. Preheat the broiler on HIGH.
  10. Spoon additional glaze over the chicken and broil for 2 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
