Grilled Shrimp with Honey Garlic Marinade

Ingredients

The marinade

  • ½ cup honey
  • 6 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • ¼ - ½ tsp red pepper flakes

The shrimp

  • 36 pieces extra large shrimp

For garnish (optional)

  • to taste chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes in a mixing bowl.
  2. Place shrimp in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over them, then seal and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400 degrees).
  4. Thread shrimp onto skewers, about 5 to 6 per skewer.
  5. Clean and oil the grill grates, then place the shrimp on the grill.
  6. Grill shrimp for about 2 minutes per side until cooked through.
  7. Garnish with green onions or parsley if desired and serve.
