Grilled Shrimp Skewers

Ingredients

The skewers and shrimp

  • 8 pieces Bamboo skewers
  • 1 lb Large shrimp (31/40 size, peeled and deveined)

The marinade

  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp Smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp Sea salt
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30-60 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
  3. Add the shrimp to the marinade and gently turn to coat. Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill for about 15 minutes over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the marinade and thread them onto the skewers.
  6. Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is pink and opaque, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until opaque on the other side.
