Instructions
- Combine yeast and warm water in a mixing bowl and let rest until bubbly.
- Heat milk, cream, and butter in a saucepan until nearly boiling, then stir in sour cream and cool to 110-115 degrees.
- Add the cooled milk mixture to the yeast mixture along with egg, vanilla, salt, and sugar, then mix in flour and knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Sprinkle baking powder over the dough and knead for another minute.
- Divide the dough into two portions and roll each into a rectangle.
- Brush each rectangle with melted butter and spread the raspberry jam mixture over it.
- Roll up the dough tightly and slice into rolls, placing them on greased pans to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake the rolls until golden, about 17-19 minutes.
- Prepare the cream cheese icing by whipping together butter and cream cheese, then adding vanilla, powdered sugar, and milk.
- Spread or pipe icing over the warm rolls.
