Butterflake Rolls
Ingredients
The dough

Instructions
- Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk and let stand for 3 minutes.
- Add flour and salt to the mixture and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth, then let it rest covered for 10 minutes.
- Roll the dough into an 11 x 9 inch rectangle and spread butter over it.
- Fold the dough into thirds and place it in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Repeat the rolling and folding process two more times, freezing the dough in between.
- Roll the dough into an 11 x 8 inch rectangle, then roll it up jelly-roll style and cut into 12 equal slices.
- Place the slices in muffin cups coated with cooking spray and let them rise for an hour or refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the rolls for 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for 5 minutes on a wire rack and serve warm with butter and jam.
