Instructions
- 1. In a large saucepan, bring the water and almond milk to a simmer.
- 2. Melt the butter in a skillet and toast the oats until golden and fragrant.
- 3. Stir the oats into the simmering water and milk mixture, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- 4. Stir in the salt and continue to simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
- 5. Add the orange zest and juice, let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
- 6. Serve in bowls topped with cranberry sauce and optional garnishes.
