shredded 2% Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook the pasta according to package directions, then drain.
- In a large sauté pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, draining excess grease if necessary.
- Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, and water to the beef. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, cream cheese, and egg, mixing until smooth. Stir in the chopped scallions.
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of the baking dish, followed by a layer of cooked pasta.
- Spread half of the sour cream mixture over the pasta, then top with a layer of meat sauce. Repeat the layers.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes.
