Ingredients

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 2 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup (optional)
  • teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt (approximate)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except sea salt in a saucepan and whisk to mix.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes to reduce and concentrate the sauce.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with sea salt as needed.
  6. Transfer to a jar with an airtight lid and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
