Maple Mustard Skillet Chicken

low-sodium chicken broth or white wine
The sauce

real maple syrup

stone ground mustard

Instructions
- Pound chicken to even out thickness and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken for about 6 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Transfer chicken to a plate and melt butter in the skillet.
- Sauté garlic in the melted butter until golden brown.
- Add chicken broth and scrape up browned bits from the skillet.
- Stir in maple syrup and both mustards, letting the mixture simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the pan and spoon sauce over it, garnishing with herbs if desired.
