Ingredients

The vegetables and fruit

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts
  • 1 unit apple

The seasonings and toppings

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • ¼ c dried cranberries
  • ¼ c chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Toss the brussels sprouts and apple slices with olive oil, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the brussels sprouts are tender and browned.
  4. Transfer the roasted mixture to a bowl and stir in cranberries, walnuts, and maple syrup.
