Garlic Butter Salmon with Lemon Dill Sauce

Ingredients

The salmon

  • 16 ounces salmon fillets skin on
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • cup butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

The sauce

  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Rub the salmon fillets with garlic and sprinkle with salt and pepper, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the salmon on a baking sheet and drizzle with a mixture of melted butter and lemon juice.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the center of the salmon reaches about 120°F for medium-rare.
  4. While the salmon is baking, prepare the sauce by mixing sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Stir until well combined and refrigerate.
  5. Serve the salmon with the Lemon Dill Sauce and garnish with additional dill.
