Ingredients

Tuna Cakes

  • 2 cans tuna (5oz)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro or parsley
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ cup crushed crackers (or breadcrumbs)
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil for cooking

Aioli

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • a tiny pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all tuna cake ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties using about ⅓ cup for each.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove from heat once cooked.
  6. Prepare the aioli by mixing all aioli ingredients together.
  7. Serve the tuna patties with the aioli.
