Ingredients

Pie Crust

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 7 tablespoons very cold butter
  • cup sour cream

Egg Mixture

  • 8 large eggs
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • pinch black pepper
  • 1 cup finely chopped ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped green onions or chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pie crust by whisking together flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Grate the cold butter into the dry ingredients and mix until coated.
  3. Add sour cream and mix until a shaggy dough forms, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into circles to fit a greased muffin tin.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  7. Divide the ham and cheese among the muffin cups, then pour the egg mixture over them.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes until set, then cool slightly before removing from the tin.
