Ingredients

  • 1 jar (16 oz) roasted red peppers
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • to taste freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Blend the roasted red peppers with a couple tablespoons of their liquid until smooth, adding water if needed.
  2. Sauté minced garlic in butter over medium-low heat until fragrant.
  3. Add the blended peppers, dried basil, and black pepper to the skillet and stir.
  4. Simmer the sauce on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring often until thickened.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and heat through, adding salt if needed before serving warm.
