Crockpot Chunky Cinnamon Applesauce

fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Chop the apples and place them in a large bowl.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the apples and stir.
- Add sugar and cinnamon to the apple mixture.
- Pour water into the bottom of the crockpot and add the apple mixture.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 5 hours, stirring occasionally.
- If a smoother texture is desired, puree the applesauce in a food processor or blender.
