Sheet Pan Sesame Beef

Ingredients

The beef and marinade

  • lbs sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
  • ¼ cup coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (plus more for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated or minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (plus more for garnish)

The vegetables

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 head cauliflower, riced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Slice the steak into thin strips and place it in a shallow dish.
  3. Combine the marinade ingredients in a bowl and pour over the steak, mixing to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. While the steak is marinating, prepare the cauliflower and broccoli.
  5. Place the broccoli florets on a sheet pan, drizzle with avocado oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and turn the oven to broil.
  7. Add the riced cauliflower to the pan, mixing it with the broccoli, and push the vegetables to the sides.
  8. Spread the marinated steak evenly between the vegetables and broil for 5-6 minutes or until the steak is cooked to your liking, flipping the pieces as needed.
  9. Once done, serve in bowls with cauliflower rice, broccoli, and steak, garnished with sesame seeds and red pepper flakes if desired.
