Slow Cooker Sweet & Tangy Chicken

The chicken

The thickening

Instructions
- Combine the brown sugar, cider vinegar, soda, garlic, soy sauce, and black pepper in the slow cooker.
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and stir to cover them with the sauce.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Remove the chicken from the sauce and shred it using forks.
- Pour the sauce into a saucepan, mix the corn starch and water in a bowl, then add to the sauce.
- Bring the sauce to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Serve the chicken with the sauce poured over it, garnished with crushed red pepper flakes.
