Pork Shrimp and Napa Cabbage Dumplings

Ingredients

Dumplings

  • 1 pack dumpling wrappers, store-bought
  • water for wrapping

Filling

  • 8 oz ground pork
  • 4 oz shrimp, shelled and deveined, cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup napa cabbage, sliced
  • 1 stalk scallion, cut into small rounds
  • teaspoons Chinese Shaoxing wine or rice wine
  • 3 dashes white pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pinch salt

Dipping Sauce

  • to taste Chinese black vinegar
  • to taste soy sauce
  • to taste chili oil
  • to taste white sesame

Instructions

  1. Mix all filling ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine well.
  2. To make the dipping sauce, combine black vinegar, soy sauce, and ginger in a small dish.
  3. Take a dumpling wrapper and place about 1 heaping teaspoon of filling in the center.
  4. Moisten the outer edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and press to seal tightly.
  5. Place the dumplings on a floured surface to prevent sticking and repeat until all filling is used.
  6. Boil a pot of water, drop in the dumplings, and cover the pot.
  7. Once the dumplings float to the surface, remove them with a slotted spoon and serve with dipping sauce.
