Ingredients

Dumpling Wrappers

  • 1 pack dumpling wrappers
  • 150 ml water
  • to taste ml Chinese black vinegar
  • to taste ml cooking oil

Filling

  • 8 oz ground pork
  • 4 oz shrimp
  • 2 oz cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon scallion
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese Shaoxing wine
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 dashes ground white pepper
  • pinch salt

Homemade Dumpling Wrappers

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • to dust all-purpose flour extra flour

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by mixing all filling ingredients together.
  2. To assemble, place a wrapper on your palm, add filling, moisten edges, fold, and seal.
  3. Arrange dumplings on parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet and pan-fry dumplings until bottoms are light brown.
  5. Add water to the skillet, cover, and steam until water evaporates.
  6. Add more oil and pan-fry until bottoms are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve warm with dipping sauce.
