The greens

  • 1-2 pounds fresh collard greens

The seasoning

Instructions

  1. Wash the collard greens thoroughly in water to remove dirt.
  2. Remove the stems and slice the greens into smaller pieces.
  3. Heat a pan on medium heat with olive oil.
  4. Add the onions and garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant.
  5. Layer in the collard greens and allow them to wilt.
  6. Sprinkle the spices throughout and stir.
  7. Cook until the collards are tender, about 10-15 minutes, adjusting spices as necessary.
