Five Spice Roasted Chicken Legs

The marinade

agave or sugar

reduced sodium soy sauce

Chinese five-spice powder

freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Blend the marinade ingredients until smooth.
- Marinate the chicken in a zip-top bag for 6-8 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Place the chicken on a rack in a foil-lined roasting pan and tent with foil.
- Roast for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and continue cooking, basting occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165°-170°F, about 45 minutes.
