Garlic Butter Scallops with Lemon Sauce

The sauce

Instructions
- Rinse and dry the scallops, removing any side muscle.
- Season the scallops with salt and black pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of melted butter.
- Pan-sear the scallops until charred, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining melted butter and sauté the garlic until light brown.
- Add white wine, mirin (if using), and lemon juice to the skillet.
- Return the scallops to the skillet, season with salt, and add parsley.
- Simmer the sauce lightly, then serve immediately.
