Ingredients

The sausage mixture

  • 2 pounds ground beef 80/20
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried sage
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

For cooking

  • as needed none oil (avocado or olive)

Instructions

  1. Mix the spices in a small bowl.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef and the spice mixture, mixing well with your hands.
  3. Form the mixture into small patties, about 2 ounces each.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the sausage patties to the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through.
  6. Alternatively, preheat a Blackstone griddle to medium heat, add oil, and cook the patties for 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
