Instructions
- Mix sage, thyme, fennel seeds, red pepper flakes, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- In a large bowl, combine ground pork, maple syrup, and the spice blend, mixing carefully to avoid overmixing.
- Form the mixture into 2-ounce portions and flatten them into 2 to 2½ inch patties, yielding about 16 patties.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the sausage patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
