Ingredients

The bread

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 loaf French Bread

The topping

  • 1 clove garlic (whole)
  • cups diced cherry tomatoes
  • 3 medium avocados (diced)
  • ½ cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add butter to the pan and swirl it around, then add sliced bread in a single layer.
  3. Toast the bread for 1-2 minutes until slightly browned, then flip and toast the other side for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Remove the bread and rub a whole garlic clove on each slice.
  5. Repeat the toasting process until all bread is toasted.
  6. In a large bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, diced avocado, basil, olive oil, minced garlic, white balsamic vinegar, and salt. Toss to combine.
  7. Serve the topping on the prepared toast.
