Ingredients

The salmon

  • 2 lb. salmon

The spice rub

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary

The garnish

  • 1 large lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with tin foil.
  2. Place the salmon in the center of the foil.
  3. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pat the salmon dry, brush with avocado oil, and season with the spice rub and fresh herbs.
  5. Tuck lemon slices under the salmon.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes until flaky.
  7. Remove from the oven and turn the broiler on HIGH.
  8. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly browned.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and additional lemon slices.
