Ingredients

The French Toast Cups

  • ½ loaf French bread, torn into small pieces
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup half and half or cream
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

The Cinnamon Streusel Topping

  • 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small cubes
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • to taste powdered sugar
  • to taste Wholesome! Pancake Syrup or Coconut Palm Syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a muffin tin, filling each cup with torn bread.
  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth, then pour over the bread in each cup.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon, then cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Top each cup with this mixture.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until puffy and golden brown. Serve topped with powdered sugar and syrup.
