Instructions
- Make a well in the flour and add salt, sugar, yeast, and olive oil.
- Stir the ingredients in the well and gradually add lukewarm water to form a sticky dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, then shape it into a circle.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the filling by mixing crumbled feta, shredded mizithra cheese, minced mint, minced parsley, and dried oregano.
- After resting, divide the dough into 4 pieces and roll each into thin circles.
- Place the filling on two circles, cover with the other circles, and seal the edges with a fork.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry each bread until browned on both sides.
- Let the fried bread rest on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve with lemon juice and a sprinkle of dried oregano.
