Ingredients

  • 3 cups bread flour (or all purpose flour)

  • 6 tbsp warm whole milk
  • tsp sugar
  • tsp active dry yeast
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water and milk in a bowl.
  2. Whisk in sugar and then yeast, letting it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Stir in olive oil and salt.
  4. Mix in flour until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place dough in a bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1½ hours.
  6. Divide dough into 6 equal pieces and shape into circles, resting them covered for 1 hour.
  7. Roll each dough piece into a 5-inch circle.
  8. Heat a skillet over high heat, then cook each circle for 30 seconds on each side, adding olive oil, until golden brown and puffed.
