Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix coconut milk, sugar, salt, and butter, then heat until the butter melts.
- Pour the mixture into a large bowl, add yeast and mix, then add the egg.
- Gradually stir in flour to form a soft dough, knead on a floured surface for 3-4 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours until doubled.
- Punch down the dough, divide it into about 10 pieces, and roll each into a ball.
- Roll each ball into a 6-7 inch diameter and brush with melted butter before folding in half.
- Place the folded dough on the prepared baking sheet and let rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until browned, then brush with more butter if desired.
