Easy Date Caramel

Medjool dates (approx. 10 to 12 dates)

milk of choice

vanilla extract

fine sea salt
Instructions
- Soak the pitted dates in boiling water for 10 minutes to soften them.
- Drain the soaking water and add the dates to a high-speed blender with milk, vanilla, and salt.
- Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed, for about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or flavor by adding maple syrup or nut butter if desired.
- Serve immediately with sliced apples or pretzels, or store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
