Ingredients

  • 1 lb pitted dates
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp Himalayan salt

Instructions

  1. Pack pitted dates tightly in a Mason jar.
  2. Pour water over the dates, cover, and let soak overnight or for at least 12 hours.
  3. Alternatively, microwave the jar loosely covered for about 2 minutes to soften the dates.
  4. Transfer the soaked dates and water to a food processor.
  5. Add vanilla extract and salt, then process for 5-8 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  6. Transfer the date paste back to the jar and store in the fridge.
