Ingredients

For date paste on its own

  • 24 pieces pitted Medjool dates
  • ¾-1¼ cup almond/cashew/etc milk
  • dash sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For date paste to use in recipes

  • 24 pieces pitted Medjool dates
  • ¾-1¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Soak the pitted dates in hot water for about 30 minutes if using a regular blender.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
  3. For a food processor, add soaked dates and other ingredients, then blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. If using a fork, soak dates overnight, then mash and mix all ingredients in a bowl until a smooth consistency is achieved.
