How to Cook Buckwheat

Ingredients

The buckwheat

  • 1 cup buckwheat groats

The liquid

  • 1½ – 2 cups water or non-dairy milk

Instructions

  1. For stovetop, bring water to a boil, add buckwheat and salt, then simmer covered for 10-15 minutes.
  2. For Instant Pot, combine water and buckwheat, cook on high pressure for 5 minutes, then allow natural release.
  3. For slow cooker, combine buckwheat and water, cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.
