Ingredients
The base

sweetened condensed milk
The flavoring

vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract

Instructions
- Remove the labels from the cans and rinse them well.
- Place the cans on their sides in a slow cooker and cover with a few inches of water.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
- Remove the cans with tongs and let them cool completely.
- Open the cans into a bowl and stir in the vanilla and salt.
