Ingredients

The dough

  • ¾ cup very warm water
  • teaspoons sugar
  • teaspoons active dry yeast
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1½-2 cups all-purpose flour

The topping

  • 1 large egg
  • a splash water or more olive oil for brushing
  • to taste Everything Bagel Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Combine water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let it stand for 10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add salt and stir, then mix in ¾ cup of flour.
  3. Gradually add more flour until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise for 45 minutes until doubled in bulk.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F and prepare baking sheets with parchment and cooking spray.
  6. Roll out the dough thinly on a lightly sprayed surface.
  7. Whisk together the egg and a splash of water and brush it over the dough.
  8. Sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning and cut into strips.
  9. Transfer the strips to the baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.
