Ingredients

Stir-Fry Mixture

  • pounds flank or sirloin steak
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 pound green beans
  • 5-7 pieces green onions
  • 1 piece bell pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger

Sauce

  • ½ cup pear juice
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the sauce ingredients and set aside, reserving some cornstarch and pear juice.
  2. Slice the steak into thin slices and coat with cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak until done.
  4. Remove the steak from the pan and cook the green beans until tender-crisp.
  5. Add chopped green onion white ends and bell pepper, cooking briefly.
  6. Add garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant, then return the steak to the pan.
  7. Turn the heat to high, add the sauce, and bring to a boil.
  8. Whisk the reserved cornstarch and pear juice, then add to the sauce to thicken.
  9. Remove from heat and serve immediately over rice.
