Ingredients

The chicken

  • 4 to 8 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

The seasoning

  • to taste seasoning salt or salt and pepper

The BBQ sauce

  • ½ cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and sprinkle both sides with seasoning salt.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken thighs skin-side down until golden and crispy.
  4. Transfer the thighs to a baking sheet, skin-side up, and brush generously with BBQ sauce.
  5. Bake in the oven until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
