Ingredients

  • 2 large bananas, cut into chunks and frozen (about 2 cups sliced)
  • 4 pieces pitted Medjool dates
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or milk of choice
  • a small handful ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the banana, dates, almond butter, vanilla extract, and almond milk to a high-powered blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. If desired, add ice cubes for a thicker shake and blend again.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or richness by adding more almond butter or dates as needed.
  5. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
