The meat
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- If using bacon, cut it into 3-4 strips and par-cook for about 3 minutes.
- Drain oil, leaving about 2 tablespoons of bacon fat, then sauté the onion, jalapenos, and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add the pork n beans, red kidney beans, pinto beans, BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, cajun seasoning, minced garlic, and pepper. Stir until fully combined.
- Pour the mixture into an ungreased 9 x 13 baking dish, top with par-cooked bacon, and bake uncovered for 35 to 45 minutes until bubbly.
