Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon and chopped onions until the bacon is crisp and the onions are translucent.
- Drain excess fat and add minced garlic, stirring for a moment.
- Add the baked beans, ketchup, BBQ sauce, liquid smoke, chili powder, and brown sugar or sweetener to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Taste the mixture and adjust flavors as needed.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake uncovered for 50-60 minutes until bubbly and thickened.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
