Simple Tortilla Pizzas

Ingredients

The base

  • 1 whole wheat tortilla (or whole wheat pita bread)

The sauce

  • ¼ cup sauce (marinara, pesto, olive oil and garlic, barbecue sauce)

The cheese

  • cup shredded/crumbled cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, goat, feta)

Toppings

  • to taste various toppings (as desired)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. 2. Place the tortilla on a cast iron pan or baking sheet.
  3. 3. Spread the sauce evenly on the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. 4. Sprinkle cheese and add desired toppings on top.
  5. 5. Bake for about 10 to 14 minutes until the cheese is golden and the edges are lightly browned.
  6. 6. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
