Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp instant or bread machine yeast
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ Tbsp cornmeal

Toppings

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning blend
  • ½ 12oz. jar quartered artichoke hearts
  • ¼ medium red onion
  • 3 slices Genoa salami
  • 3 slices smoked provolone
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, salt, and yeast in a bowl, then add water to form a sticky dough. Cover and let it sit at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Prepare a baking sheet with foil and non-stick spray, then sprinkle cornmeal on top.
  3. Dust the dough with flour, knead gently, and flatten it. Transfer to the baking sheet and stretch to fit.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the dough and sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
  5. Add sliced red onion, salami, provolone, and artichokes as toppings. Finish with crushed red pepper.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Cut into eight pieces and serve.
