Ingredients

The pasta and vegetables

  • 2 cups cheese tortellini, par-cooked
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, par-cooked
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ cup carrots, shredded

The sauce

  • ½ cup Romano cheese
  • cups heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon granulated onion
  • to taste parsley, finely minced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the mushrooms in a pan over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes.
  2. If using, deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine at the end of cooking the mushrooms.
  3. Add the heavy cream, grated Romano cheese, and spices to the pan.
  4. Bring the cream mixture to a low boil and cook for about 5 minutes until it thickens.
  5. Add the broccoli florets, tortellini, and carrots to the pan, mixing them with the sauce.
  6. Heat the mixture over medium heat until everything is fully heated.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and additional carrots if desired.
