Ingredients

The tea

  • 4 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups water

The flavorings

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel and crush the garlic cloves.
  2. Slice the ginger into thin pieces.
  3. Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
  4. Add the garlic and ginger to the boiling water, cover, and reduce the heat.
  5. Simmer the mixture for about 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and strain the liquid into mugs.
  7. Stir in honey and lemon juice into each mug and serve immediately.
