Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. Tear the bread into bite-sized pieces and arrange them evenly in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- 3. In a large bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, milk, eggs, and vanilla.
- 4. Pour the milk mixture over the bread, ensuring all pieces are covered.
- 5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, covering with foil if the top starts to burn.
- 6. Once baked, the dish should be puffy and firm.
- 7. Optionally, top with turbinado sugar and banana slices, then return to the oven uncovered for a few minutes until golden brown.
- 8. Let stand for 15 minutes, then top with strawberry slices before serving.
