20-Minute Instant Pot Jasmine Rice

Ingredients

The rice

  • 3 cups white jasmine rice

The liquid

  • cups water or vegetable broth

The seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Optional ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice well.
  2. Place the rice, water or broth, salt, and pepper in the inner bowl of the Instant Pot.
  3. Add butter if using, cutting it into cubes and scattering it on top.
  4. Put the lid on the pot and set it to sealing.
  5. Set to high pressure for 5 minutes.
  6. After cooking, allow for a natural release of pressure for 10 minutes, then do a quick release.
  7. Carefully open the lid, taste, and adjust seasonings as needed. Stir well and serve warm.
