Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, minced onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and water until combined.
- Add the ground beef and turkey, mixing with your hands until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 15 equal portions and roll each into a ball, placing them on the baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- While the meatballs bake, heat the pasta sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Once the meatballs are done, combine them with the sauce.
- Switch the oven to broil and prepare a clean sheet pan for the buns.
- Fill each bun with 3 meatballs and ¼ cup of sauce, then top with 2 tablespoons of Mozzarella cheese.
- Broil for about 2 minutes until the cheese melts and the buns are toasted.
